As we welcome in 2014 at the Manor, we are still dreaming of magical winter weddings. Winter is a beautiful time of the year to get married, with the crisp frosts which look beautiful in the Manor gardens; warming winter menus, and beautiful candlelight.
Perhaps you got engaged over the festive season, or you are currently making wedding plans and are finding it difficult to decide a date?
One thing we know for sure, is that winter weddings are in (as are sunny honeymoons to start off the new year)!
Winter wedding style
Here at the Manor, we’ve been spoilt for choice with winter wedding style. In late 2013, we were lucky enough to be asked to star in an extravagant golden glamour photoshoot, chosen from a wealth of other Cotswold wedding venues for our luxurious decor and beautiful gardens. The golden glamour theme is a fantastic idea for a winter wedding – especially if you are planning to get wed around the festive season. Going all out with glamour is a perfect way to mark an extra celebration such Christmas or New Year.
We also are big fans of the white winter wedding, silver sparkle tones, the art deco glam style, and the rustic winter wedding – which all work perfectly in our new West Wing Ballroom.With its stunning stone pilasters from The Grand Boulevard 9th Arrondissement in Paris at the entrance and framing the stage, along with crystal ball chandeliers, a lime washed floor and neutral décor, the ballroom embodies class and elegance. Dressed with sequin tablecloths, extravagant displays of winter white flowers or just a rustic table runner with candlelight, branches and greenery, the ballroom becomes your very own fairytale.Adding those little touches to your seating also adds that extra bit of luxury, from a silk sash to chiffon ruffles.
