Who proposed to who and how?
It was a complete surprise! Adam proposed the day after my Birthday in Paris. We were out for dinner on the top floor of Le Ciel De Paris which is the highest panoramic bar in Europe and instead of my chocolate dessert I had a box with a ring in instead!
What attracted you to Manor By The Lake?
The beautiful grounds! Manor By The Lake has the most lovely gardens and is the perfect venue to have an outside wedding.
What was your theme and what personal touches did you include in the day?
I made sure everything matched perfectly. From the table plan, to the centrepieces, to the flower wall and place names.
Even to the favours which were love heart and Eiffel Tower biscuits to represent our engagement! Pink is my favourite colour so I knew I had to have this as my theme.
I also added Ivory to the mix to give it all a soft touch.
What dress did you wear?
I always wanted a Mermaid style dress but when I tried my dress on I knew it was perfect! Not too big but also slimming and long on the waist. My dress also had blush undertones which you could see in the light. I bought it from Wed2B in Bristol and it’s called Emmi.
I also had a two-tier Ivory veil and a tiara from By Design.
What did the bridesmaids wear?
I knew the exact colour I wanted for the bridesmaids but it was so hard to find as there are so many different colour nudes and blushes.
The style of dress was also difficult as all of my bridesmaids were different shapes and sizes.
One of my bridesmaids found the dress and I knew it was perfect. It was a long, low neck chiffon dress with a lace back and shoulders.
I also had a man of honour who wore a grey and blush pinstripe suit with a pink shirt and a white tie.
What did the groom wear?
Adam always wanted to wear a Tux and knew that’s what he wanted our two children and the groomsmen to wear too. Adam and our two boys wore black bow tie’s and the groomsmen wore pink bow ties.
What was your style of bouquet?
I had my bouquet made with artificial flowers by my auntie and wedding decorator. They were blush and ivory!
Did you have any live music?
We had a harpist during the Ceremony and a DJ in the evening. The DJ played everything that us and our guests wanted!
What parts of the day stood out for you the most?
All of our friends and family having fun and enjoying themselves!
Where did you go for your Honeymoon?
We had our honeymoon in December and went to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.
