In summer the manor is light and bright if you prefer to celebrate inside or mix it up with some parts of the day in the great outdoors and other parts in the sublime indoor spaces.

Summer wedding colour palette
Summer is a playful and happy season, so don’t be afraid to go bright and bold with your colour scheme. Festival themes with pops of fuchsia pink, sunflower yellow, bright blues and vibrant purples inspired by the in-season flowers work particularly well during this season.
Although, if you like things a little more classic and muted, pastels that are so popular at Spring weddings also work very nicely during the summer months. Be inspired by Manor By The Lake’s lush green gardens too, with plenty of fresh green touches in your colour scheme.

Think about what you love most about summer and let that inspire your theme for the day. If you’re both keen festival goers, why not incorporate a festival theme into your day with tipis and plenty of live music?

Think about letting your love of travel inspire the decor, with pretty postcards of your trips together and using inspiration from around the world. When it comes to choosing your floral style you’re in for a treat, because many glorious flowers are in full bloom in summer. If you like your flowers to make a statement, think about choosing impactful sunflowers or calla lilies, which look particularly stylish on their own in a bouquet.
For a more tropical and exotic look there are dahlias, gardenias and gerberas and for a really romantic look think about freesias, roses, gypsophila and alstroemerias.

Does anything say summer more than an al fresco Pimm’s reception? Just imagine this scene in the enchanting gardens of Manor By The Lake with your guests playing lawn games and the glorious mansion house as the backdrop. Pure heaven. Fruity cocktails, and crates full of beer help to create a laid-back summery vibe, but make sure to provide some lovely alcohol-free options like elderflower or lemonade on those hot days too.
